StubHub

Your trust is our top concern, so businesses can't pay to alter or remove their reviews. Learn more.

  • My only advice to avoid any issues is get downloadable tickets. My hard tickets became a nightmare with timing of delivery and an empty envelope. I did get a refund but had to get event tickets elsewhere.

  • We are starting a class action suit against Stub Hub and it's CEO Sukhinder Singh. If you would like to be involved contact me directly. When they sold tickets the policy was refunds during cancellations. You entered an agreement at the time of sale and they cannot change policy after the fact. We are also in communication with the Utah attorney generals office.

  • I listed two tickets for sale today (for the first time) to a concert I was no longer able to attend. The tickets were "General Admission" so I chose the "Pit General Admission" option on the listing site as this was the first "GA" option I saw (unaware that there were multiple). The tickets sold, I e-mailed the buyer the tickets right away, and that was that. I get a call from StubHub that the tickets I listed were "Lawn GA" not "Pit GA" which was an honest mistake on my part as I did not know there was a difference. I apologized to both StubHub and the buyer personally, but was told I would be charged a fee for listing "fake" tickets. The fee? $109! Are you joking? The tickets didn't even cost that much! I spoke with StubHub's customer service and they were not willing to budge at all. Where is the seller protection? Where is the customer service? I'm not a bot, I'm not someone who buys and sells tickets constantly. I work full-time and am a full-time student. $110 is a LOT of money to me - now it's down the drain. I am absolutely livid and appalled at this company. There is absolutely NO seller protection. Do not support this company!

  • Photo of M T.

Purchased tickets for the June 13th Red Sox/Yankee game at Fenway, every time I call regarding my refund I get a different story from the customer services rep.  I am being told  that the MLB has not notified StubHub that the game has been canceled and that it will take up to 120 day after notification to receive a refund.

  • Got to the dry diggins festival up in Placerville and they said my ticket receipt wasn't valid. I called stub hub and after being unable to get in to the show for an hour smh
and a half they told me they sold a ticket they didn't have. Nice. I ended up paying 100 bucks for a day pass which o should have done in the first place. Won't be using scamhub in the future.

  • Went online to purchase a parking pass for Staples Center. At first, on the app, the problem was with my payment method. After updating two credit cards I went to the computer to try it there.

There a different problem happened: every parking pass I tried to purchase came up with a message that it was already purchased. I can understand that items get sold and perhaps it takes a few minutes to delete the listing once it is sold, but the various passes I tried to purchase were most certainly sold over a period of some hours or days, so there's obviously a problem here that needs fixing. I wasted a lot of time on this and hope this is corrected.

What kind of scumbag company takes advantage of it's customers during a worldwide crisis? They changed their policy after tickets were purchased so they could pocket the money the vendors refunded instead of having to give it back to the customers. I hope they go out of business so the ticket companies who took care of their customers better can get more market share. Truly shameful.

  • VERY Disappointed with StuHub!! In my case I consider This a FRAUD !

I Bought tickets to go watch a game in Mexico City. I specifically chose the my seats on a specific category through StubHub. To make this short, I purchase 2 tickets for the price of $170 plus fees per ticket to sit on a Specific area! When i got my tickets delivered a DAY BEFORE the event, I notice the tickets I received were tickets from the cheapest location in the stadium and not the ones I selected.

So the seller puts general cheap tickets on the wrong sitting categories to charge tons for the tickets and tricks its buyer! To me this is a total FRAUD !!!!
I complain and demand my money back, but have not received a response yet!

STAY AWAY FROM STUBHUB EVERYONE, just giving you all a WARNING.

I would think Stubhub would verify the seller to make sure the seller is selling what he/she is saying it selling.

  • Never buy from Stub Hub! With the rise of people testing positive for Corona Virus, I cancelled my flight to Florida, along with my hotel and car reservation. My husband and I were flying to Florida in order to attend the Met/Cardinal Game on 3/11. My husband is immune compromised and we don't want to risk his possible exposure from being around crowds of people. The airline, hotel and rental car company were very understanding and refunded my payment in full. When I called Stub Hub to see if I could get my money back for the tickets I was told the only way I would get a refund is if the game was cancelled. I was told I can try to sell my tickets online. Its a shame that under the current circumstances Stub Hub shows no compassion for someone who is sick!

  • How about refund people their hard earned money during a pandemic, instead of changing your refund policy during it to steal their money!? Absolutely ridiculous and I hope you tank after this stunt. Do the right thing and refund everyone's tickets like Ticketmaster is doing.

  • Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Set to practice Wednesday

    Rotowire

Jackson (illness) will practice Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

The extent of Jackson's participation won't be known until the Ravens release their first official Week 12 injury report later Wednesday, but the quarterback looks to be on his way to return to the lineup Sunday against the Browns. Jackson was inactive for last weekend's win over the Bears after he struggled to move past a viral illness unrelated to COVID-19. Tyler Huntley picked up his first NFL start in Jackson's stead, but the second-year signal-caller is in line to revert to the No. 2 role this weekend.

  • Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Good to go after full practice

    Rotowire

Jackson (illness) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Jackson may need a couple days to regain his conditioning but otherwise appears in line for a normal week of preparation after missing last Sunday's win over Chicago with a non-COVID-19-related illness. Top wideout Marquise Brown (thigh) also returned to practice Wednesday -- albeit as a limited participant -- potentially setting up a return to the lineup this Sunday against the Browns. It's hard to say what Jackson can expect in terms of the matchup, as Cleveland's talented defense has been wildly inconsistent from week to week this year, holding six opponents below 17 points but also giving up 33 or more on four occasions. Jackson told reporters Wednesday that he's feeling great and is "120 percent" sure he's playing this week, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.

Just 21 days ago, online ticket exchange and resale company StubHub sent a reassuring email to their customers.

“StubHub is here for you,” reads part of the email, which was signed by company president Sukhinder Singh Cassidy.

In that email, Cassidy outlines to their “valued StubHub customer” base that there really isn’t anything to worry about when it comes to tickets they purchased. Yes, the coronavirus is causing issues with everything ranging from everyday life to professional sporting events and everything in between, but StubHub wanted to assure everyone they would be taken care of.

Take a look at what they promised those valued customers (emphasis is theirs):

If you bought tickets on StubHub and your event is still happening, you are good to go! If you can no longer attend your event for any reason, you can sell your tickets with confidence on StubHub in just a few quick steps.

If you bought tickets on StubHub to an event that is cancelled, you have two options:

    1. Receive a full refund of your purchase

    2. Receive a coupon for 120 percent of your original purchase*

Just three weeks later, the company issued an update on their coronavirus policy. You might noticed something is missing.

“I want to assure you that StubHub’s FanProtect Guarantee protects every purchase — the ticket you have purchased on our site will get you into the event or we will make it right,” reads the update, which is also signed by Cassidy. “And StubHub’s award-winning customer service is on standby to help with any issues or concerns.

“If you buy tickets on StubHub to an event that is canceled, you are covered by our FanProtect Guarantee. When an event is canceled, you will receive a StubHub coupon worth 120 percent of your original order. For your convenience, we will directly add it to your StubHub account once the event is canceled.”

Where’s that guaranteed refund? It’s just missing with no explanation. That’s quite the dramatic turnaround, considering less than a month has gone by.

The company, built around the constant sale and exchange of tickets to live events, announced cost-saving measures on March 24, according to Celebrity Access, an entertainment industry site. In a statement to the site, StubHub indicated it made the “difficult but responsible decision to furlough a portion of our employee base.” The site reports the number of employees to be 67 percent of the company’s workforce, leaving approximately 150 workers out of about 450 to handle operations until “at least June.”

One has to wonder how reassuring emails to those employees were in the weeks leading up to their furlough.

Then there’s the question of the legality of the move, beyond any ethical shortcomings.
