Because of scheduled maintenance work on its net banking and mobile banking platforms, India's largest private bank, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), has stated that some of its online services would be unavailable in the following week. On August 7 - 2021, HDFC Bank sent an email to its customers regarding the same.

In the mail, HDFC Bank as an important update has stated that Dear Customer, Thank you for banking with HDFC Bank. We hope that you and your loved ones are keeping safe. As part of our ongoing effort to provide you with a seamless, best-in-class digital banking experience, we are undergoing scheduled maintenance. During this activity, the following transactions will not be available on the HDFC Bank NetBanking & MobileBanking App:
View/Download Credit Card statements (Service name): 7th Aug'21: 06:00 PM (IST) to 8th Aug'21, 10.00 PM (IST) (Scheduled Downtime).
Debit & Credit Card related services (Service name): 11th Aug'21: 12:30 AM (IST) to 06:30 AM (IST) (Scheduled Downtime).
In its second email update, HDFC Bank has also clarified an important update regarding the NetBanking Login Page. The bank has said that "Thank you for banking with HDFC Bank. We hope that you and your loved ones are keeping safe. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide you with seamless and best-in-class digital banking experiences, we have redesigned and enhanced your HDFC Bank NetBanking Login Page. The NetBanking Login Page will go live on Sunday, 8th August at 12 AM. You will be greeted by the new interface of the NetBanking Login Page whenever you visit the HDFC Bank portal after the said date and time. This redesign and enhancement do not impact your login process in any manner whatsoever. Please continue to login with your existing Customer ID and Password. Please feel free to write to us at [email protected] for queries or clarifications. Assuring you of our best services."

After selecting one of the two options, enter the text as shown in the image which you will find down the page. Click on Continue to proceed ahead.
Step 5: Now you need to enter the registered mobile number linked to the account and click on Continue.
Step 6: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP in the box and click on Continue.
Step 7: Click on the card number linkedto your HDFC account. Now you need to enter the card details, i.e. ATM Pin, Expiry Date, enter the New iPin login password you want to set.
Important Note: Set a stronger password using alphabets, number, and special characters.
Don’t set the password that you had previously set for your online banking account. Now click on Confirm button to end the process.
The screen will display confirmation message for successfully resetting the new password. Now, you can log in to your Net Banking account with the newly set password without any issues.
Method 2: Reset HDFC Login Password by Calling On PhoneBanking Number
Find nearby HDFC customer Care number from here http://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/find-your-nearest/find-phone-banking. Call and make a request to regenerate your login password by verifying your details. New login password will be delivered to your registered mailing address.
Method 3: Reset HDFC Login Password through ATM
First Visit nearby HDFC ATM and submit a request for new login password using Debit Card and Pin. New IPIN will be sent to your registered mailing address within 7 Working Days.
Method 4: Reset HDFC Netbanking Login Password By Visiting Branch
You can also submit a request by visiting nearest HDFC bank branch for a new password to be delivered to your registered address with a bank account.

Step 2: From HDFC net banking homepage, Enter your customer ID.
Step 3: Now Enter your HDFC bank account number and registered mobile number. Step 5: In the next step, you’ll have to enter your HDFC ATM card details. After entering your Debit card credentials, hit continue button.
Step 6: Now click on Read and accept terms and conditions of using e-banking facility of the bank. Click on check-box “I agree to the above mentioned Agreement-cum-Indemnity” then press accept to proceed.
Step 7: In the next page, you will be asked to enter a password for your internet banking. Simply create a password containing special characters, alphabets, and numbers [email protected]_12Z, and click on continue.
Step 8: Upon clicking on continue, following pop-up message will appear on your computer screen “Your request to create Internet Banking User ID is successful.” Click on “OK” and then note down your reference number, customer id, and login user id.

Following are the steps for booking your Fixed Deposit online:
- Access your NetBanking account with your Customer ID and IPIN (NetBanking Password)

- Once complete, click on “Continue” and “Confirm” the details entered

What are the charges and limits for RTGS?
From 15th November, 2010 RTGS transactions are charged according to the conditions below:
- Rs. 2 Lakhs to Rs. 5 Lakhs – Rs. 25 (inclusive of taxes) per transaction
- Above Rs. 5 Lakhs – Rs. 50 (inclusive of taxes) per transaction
Charges for RTGS transactions done through Net Banking are not applicable for Current Accounts: Apex / Max / Plus / Merchant Advantage Plus / Flexi / Trade / Merchant Advantage / Premium / Regular.
The maximum amount of funds that can be transferred per customer ID every day is Rs. 10 Lakhs. The minimum amount is Rs. 2 Lakhs.

What do I do when I get the message “Access denied”?
The possible reasons for this are:
- You have not used the NetBanking facility for more than 999 days (in this case you need to attempt logging in again after 24 hrs).
- You have entered the wrong IPIN (password) five times (in this case you need to attempt logging in again after 24 hrs).
- If you have forgotten your IPIN, then we regenerate the IPIN based on an authenticated request from you

You can register for TPT (Third Party Transfer) services online by following the below steps:
- Step 1: Login to NetBanking using Cust ID & password
- Step 2: Click on the TPT tab and ‘Register Now’

- Step 4: Confirm their mobile number and enter the OTP (One Time Password) which they have received on their registered mobile number

Mark the checkbox for mobile number and click on continue. An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Continue’.
Step 6:
Hereafter the process will be completed in 3 steps. To proceed click on ‘Continue’.
In the First step you have to select a profile image. You can add a message below it. Enter the message below the image. Which you wanted to display at the time of login process this profile image is used for verification purpose only at the time of login. Set the image and click on proceed to step 2.

In this step some security questions need to be set. you will be provided with 5 security questions select equation as per your choice you can change the question if you want. Now select answer for each question and remember these answers. After that click on proceed to step 3

Because of scheduled maintenance work on its net banking and mobile banking platforms, India's largest private bank, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), has stated that some of its online services would be unavailable in the following week. On August 7 - 2021, HDFC Bank sent an email to its customers regarding the same.

In the mail, HDFC Bank as an important update has stated that Dear Customer, Thank you for banking with HDFC Bank. We hope that you and your loved ones are keeping safe. As part of our ongoing effort to provide you with a seamless, best-in-class digital banking experience, we are undergoing scheduled maintenance. During this activity, the following transactions will not be available on the HDFC Bank NetBanking & MobileBanking App:
View/Download Credit Card statements (Service name): 7th Aug'21: 06:00 PM (IST) to 8th Aug'21, 10.00 PM (IST) (Scheduled Downtime).
Debit & Credit Card related services (Service name): 11th Aug'21: 12:30 AM (IST) to 06:30 AM (IST) (Scheduled Downtime).
In its second email update, HDFC Bank has also clarified an important update regarding the NetBanking Login Page. The bank has said that "Thank you for banking with HDFC Bank.
