If you don't like using WorldShip, we would alternatively recommend using Rollo Ship Manager or another commercial solutions discussed in this article. They connect to UPS.com and print your label in a 4 x 6 format using your negotiated shipment rates. They are online, user-friendly, and you can set them up in just minutes. 

If you definitely want to ship directly from UPS.com, then there are a few ways to print from UPS.com: 

1) You may leave the settings as default on UPS.com and crop the label using the steps in this article.


2) Install Rollo as a UPS Thermal Printer. Please note UPS.com Thermal Printers only print to 4 x 8 (not 4 x 6) label sizes, so you must ensure that you have the correct label.   • After the shipment is added, the user can create the labels from the UPS site. Find all shipments created for your UPS account at https://www.ups.com/ship/history
  • Select the required shipment and choose Get Labels:

Open your preferred email desktop application, or log in to your webmail account.

Step 2

Click "Compose" or "New" to create a new email message.

Part 1: Creating UPS MI Carrier Account

- Log into the customers' Cloud account and navigate to their settings > Carriers > Add > UPS Mail Innovations. Fill out the required fields.

- Click the + icon for UPSMIDomestic. Add the required fields.

2) Creating the Location and Profile

- Navigate to the customer’s settings and choose the option to create a new location. Using the customer’s information, create both an origin and return location. The origin location is what will be used for rating and shipping. The return location is what will print on the label.

Part 2: Uploading Rates

After the carrier account has been successfully created, you are ready to upload rates.

If “TEST” is printing on the label you may switch them to “Sample Mode” in the carrier settings. This will remove TEST from the label.

Part 4: Closing: End of Day (International Only)

Domestic packages DO NOT transmit an End of Day file to UPS. They contain a 2d barcode which UPS MI uses to identify the data. International packages do require an End of Day file so UPS is able to identify what customs items are being shipped.

How to retrieve the UPS carrier I setup in my Shippo account

I am trying to use Shippo in my c# development for the first time and I was able to generate a label using the default USPS carrier, but I am unable to use the UPS account I setup on their website.

I am using this code to retrieve all the carriers, but the UPS account I created is not in the list, although I see it online.

This returns the 5 default accounts, although I can see that it is showing the ones I deactivated as active=false, so I know it is pulling from my account, but the collection doesn't include the UPS account I see online.

If I try to create the UPS carrier, I get an error that the carrier already exists:

Connecting your FedEx account to Square Online to use with Real-Time Shipping or printing shipping labels requires two things: a FedEx account number, and a FedEx meter number.

Here’s how to get that information from your FedEx account.

From the FedEx Developer Resource Center, click on Move to Production, then click the Get Production Key button.

Answer the application questions, then complete the rest of the form with your information and agree to the terms.

Note: You’ll need to enter your FedEx account number during this process. You can find that by going to FedEx.com and clicking on your name in the upper right corner. Choose My Profile from the list, and then click Account Management. You’ll find your account number on that page.

Rollo Help

Note: The easiest setup would be to connect your UPS account to Rollo Ship Manager. You can then skip steps below.

UPS provides free software for all UPS customers called WorldShip. This application is optimized for printing labels in a 4 x 6 format at high-speed and with efficiency. The UPS.com website, on the other hand, has more limitations. Please see this article for setting up WorldShip with Rollo.

If you don't like using WorldShip, we would alternatively recommend using Rollo Ship Manager or another commercial solutions discussed in this article. They connect to UPS.com and print your label in a 4 x 6 format using your negotiated shipment rates. They are online, user-friendly, and you can set them up in just minutes. 

If you definitely want to ship directly from UPS.com, then there are a few ways to print from UPS.com: 

1) You may leave the settings as default on UPS.com and crop the label using the steps in this article.


2) Install Rollo as a UPS Thermal Printer. Please note UPS.com Thermal Printers only print to 4 x 8 (not 4 x 6) label sizes, so you must ensure that you have the correct label. This size limitation does not exist with UPS WorldShip or Commercial Solutions as discussed above. To install the UPS Thermal Printer, please follow this guide from UPS and install Rollo as the UPS Thermal 2844 printer.

How to retrieve the UPS carrier I setup in my Shippo account

I am trying to use Shippo in my c# development for the first time and I was able to generate a label using the default USPS carrier, but I am unable to use the UPS account I setup on their website.

I am using this code to retrieve all the carriers, but the UPS account I created is not in the list, although I see it online.

This returns the 5 default accounts, although I can see that it is showing the ones I deactivated as active=false, so I know it is pulling from my account, but the collection doesn't include the UPS account I see online.

If I try to create the UPS carrier, I get an error that the carrier already exists:

Exception Thrown: An unhandled exception of type 'Shippo.ShippoException' occurred in Shippo.dll

Additional information: {"non_field_errors": ["An Account with account_id shark92651 already exists. You can update the existing account parameters using a PUT request"]}
