Capital one walmart credit card payment -
Why did Affirm do this?I have a Capital One debit card, am I affected?
Capital One recently made the decision to no longer allow cardholders to use their credit card for certain services such as Affirm. Unfortunately, we are not able to bypass this decision.
I used to be able to use this card, why can’t I now?
Capital One has recently made this decision, so you may have been successful in using your Capital One card for prior down payments or loan payments on eligible loans. At this time we cannot move forward with processing a payment toward this card.
Why did Affirm do this?
This is not a decision made by Affirm, but is Capital One's decision. We will continue to accept payment methods from other issuers for down payments and on certain types of loans. We do always encourage the use of ACH bank transfers and debit cards for payments.
I have a Capital One debit card, am I affected?
You can still make payments with a Capital One debit card.

If You Miss a Payment on Walmart Credit Card
Missing a credit card payment is never a good idea. But it is an especially bad thing when it comes to the Capital One Walmart credit card, mostly because of the high interest rate charged by this card.
When you miss a Capital One Walmart credit card payment, a few things will happen.
- Late Fee: You will be charged a Late Payment Fee of as much as $39
- APR Increase: If you miss a payment, Capital One may raise your APR in response
- Credit Score Hit: Whether you pay your bills on time is the biggest factor in the calculation of your credit scores. When you miss a payment to your Walmart credit card, Capital One may report that to the credit bureaus, causing a big hit to your credit scores. While the exact formulae of credit score calculation are kept secret by the 3 credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion), generally a single late payment that is more than 30 days past due can reduce your credit score by as many as 100 points. That is a very significant drop as far as credit scores are concerned. Worse still, a missed payment will typically stay on your credit reports for as many as 7 years
What to do when you miss a payment:
- Make a Payment As Soon As Possible: The longer you wait, the more interest you will be charged
- Call Customer Service: If you have only missed your payment by 2 or 3 days, you can ask customer service to waive or reduce your late fee
